Sometimes the path forward is a slow walk back to where you began — and that’s exactly where I find myself now.
As a floral designer, it’s rare that I get to attend the weddings we design with such care. Most often, after bringing a couple’s vision to life, we quietly slip away—grateful, spent, and usually covered in stems and petals. This wedding was different — it was personal, sacred, and filled with meaning.
Krista is not just a client—she’s a dear friend. Watching her marry Chris felt sacred. Personal. Unmissable.
Over the years, I’ve learned to empower my team at Adorations Botanical Artistry. This wedding was a reflection of that trust. Our creative process has evolved so I no longer need to be everywhere at once. That shift has allowed me to see the work from a new perspective—not only as the maker, but as someone receiving the experience alongside everyone else.
Seated beneath the sycamores at Monserate Winery, surrounded by birdsong and the quiet rustle of guests, I was overwhelmed. The vows. The laughter. The fullness of their love. It all unfolded within the floral setting we had created.
It reminded me why we do this work.
““It was more than visual beauty. It was spirit-filled.””
The day was made even sweeter by the presence of familiar faces—people whose lives have been intertwined with mine through flowers and friendship.
Hannah and Derrick, celebrating nearly a decade of marriage.
Kate, whose wedding I once designed.
A young woman who reminded me she once helped design flowers by my side.
Another, grinning, told me it had been 12 years since I made her bouquet.
One guest remembered working with my beloved Jeffrey and Gab, helping tear down a wedding the same weekend I was in labor— with my son.
And then there was Brom. My son. Sitting beside me in his burgundy shirt and tailored suit, perfectly matching the day’s colors.
Even as a teenager, his heart holds something tender. I see in him the longing to love and be loved, and I’m grateful my husband and I have modeled something real for him to carry.
Later that evening, friends who’ve known him since he was an infant pulled me aside.
They said, “It’s beautiful to watch him when he doesn’t know he’s being watched.”
They called out his kindness, his posture, his presence.
And I received it quietly—because I know it’s true.
He is, in many ways, my greatest success. I say that with reverence, humility, and deep gratitude to the God who entrusted him to me.
Krista’s presence in my life has meant more than I could ever capture in one post. Her steady, gentle love—so rooted in Christ—was the beginning of my own walk toward faith. Long before I ever spoke the words aloud, she was living it beside me.
She accepted me fully—just as I had to learn to accept my business: in its fullness and its flaws.
That kind of love… is a balm. One I didn’t know I needed.
““Sometimes the most beautiful journeys begin right back where you started.””
Since the pandemic, I’ve stayed quiet. I drew in close, kept my family near, and spoke less publicly. Then, our original Instagram account was hacked and lost. It was humbling—and oddly, clarifying.
I’ve had to rebuild. In business. In spirit. In voice.
And slowly, I’m returning.
So here I am, sharing again. Slowly. Intentionally.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you.
If this kind of reflection speaks to your soul, I’d be honored to stay connected.

Because sometimes, the path forward is a slow walk back to where you began.
And I’m finding that it’s a beautiful place to be.
